Hole 1 - The Grange
The 1st, which runs from the clubhouse downhill to a sloping green, is one of the most intimidating of starting holes in golf, requiring a long iron or wood to reach the green. The green itself slopes away towards the rear with a path and boundary fence close by. A four here is a very good score.
